Turn up the heat with this bold and refreshing drink. With a zingy citrus base, a subtle touch of sweetness, and a fiery smoked chilli salt rim, it’s the perfect balance of smooth, smoky, and spicy—ideal for happy hour with a kick.

INGREDIENTS

45 ml (1½ oz) tequila blanco
30 ml (1 oz) fresh lime juice
15 ml (½ oz) orange liqueur (Cointreau or triple sec)
5 ml (1 tsp) agave syrup (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
Ice cubes
Kiwi Artisan Manuka Smoked Chilli Salt – for rimming the glass

GARNISH

Lime wheel or wedge
Optional: small jalapeño slice for heat

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prep the rim:
Moisten the rim of a rocks or margarita glass with a lime wedge.
Dip the rim into a small plate of smoked chilli salt so it sticks.

2. Mix the drink:
Add tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave syrup (if using) into a shaker filled with ice.
Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

3. Serve:
Strain over fresh ice in the prepared glass.
Garnish with a lime wheel and, if you like it extra spicy, a jalapeño slice
